Did someone mention a walk?
Somebody else had an outing in mind, riding up to the Lord Colonsay monument on the hill above Scalasaig. There is a magnificent view from there, across to the mainland and the islands of Jura and Islay.
After our walk Mr Gaucho and I sat in the hotel garden to enjoy a Sunday lunchtime drink (local Colonsay gin - very good indeed!).
The dogs and I walked up a track, over a hill until the path petered out, and then followed sheep tracks down a small beach. It wasn't Colonsay's most beautiful beach but it had a wonderful view across to Jura, which had some weak sunshine atmospherically shining through the clouds.
