Testing, testing

I am just posting a couple of photos I took a couple of days ago with my phone, to see how they shape up here - quality-wise.  In their defence, it was very windy and almost impossible to hold the phone steady enough to take a photo, plus the dogs were pulling on their leads, but the image was so good that I had to have a go.  The colours are true, and although the photos are not crisp, they have a rather nice painterly quality, so they are fine with me!

Early morning light

There have been some cracking early morning skies this week.  The sunrise has generated a strong rose gold light which has been picked up not only in the clouds but also through the silver-white grasses around the edge of the golf course. I always marvel at the clouds.  Constantly changing, formations that have never been seen before, never to be seen again.

(Not) in a vase on Monday!

The challenge this week, set by Cathy at  https://ramblinginthegarden.wordpress.com to celebrate five years of In a Vase on Monday, was to offer (Not) in a vase on Monday!  So here is my interpretation of that idea with one of my Plant Belles, which I tend to use for things I find and enjoy.  I weave bits and pieces through the metal ribs and keep them until they fall apart, or something even better turns up!  Lichen covered twigs, branches of larch with tiny cones, seed heads, twisted heather stems, anything and everything that has form and beauty.
