I have three small offerings today. Two are in the quirky handiwork of Devon potter John Maltby. We have quite a collection of his work, all of it interesting and slightly off the wall, which we bought during the 1980s. The flowers I have found to fill the vases are a mix of jewel-like treasures from the garden. They come together to prove that Spring is on its way. Hooray!
Welcome to the running wave, which I set up as a vehicle for my photographs, with some observational chat and occasionally a little writing. I hope you enjoy the things I enjoy, sharing my walks with Tilly and Ted, and other excursions I have from time to time.
Oh I love your little collection of pottery, especially the boxy one. All perfect for your variety of little blooms - so cheery!
ReplyDeleteThank you Cathy. We have quite a bit of John Malby's work. Nothing recent but items we bought back in the '80s when we would visit Devon frequently. It is so good to see these colourful little flowers brightening up all corners of the garden now! A
DeleteThey certainly make a bold statement!

ReplyDeleteMost striking vases Amanda and such pretty snippets of spring gracing them.
ReplyDeleteThank you Anna. The vases are quite an assortment! We really enjoy John Maltby's work and the garden is JUST beginning to show some colour! Happy days! A
DeleteI LOVE the Crocus. Your vases are very interesting and well-suited to the diverse collection of blooms. I'm glad to see that Spring has pulled into the station in your part of the world!
ReplyDeleteYes, Kris, Spring is certainly beginning to show her colours! We still have very strong winds though. They are relentless, bending the daffodil stems and buds over and keeping the temperatures down. Seriously tired of the weeks of weather like this! A bit of calm would be good ..... somewhen soon hopefully!! A
