New Year's Eve

So, here we are - the last day of 2015.  The early morning sky was beautiful, through the trees, and we have enjoyed a few glimmers of sunshine throughout the day 
There will be the usual New Year's Eve street party in the centre of Edinburgh tonight.  A quarter of a million revellers, rocking around, having a wonderful chaotic time.  We are just happy to see the new year in here, quietly, with just the hooting of the owls in the wood!

There have been some cracking early morning skies this week.  The sunrise has generated a strong rose gold light which has been picked up not only in the clouds but also through the silver-white grasses around the edge of the golf course. I always marvel at the clouds.  Constantly changing, formations that have never been seen before, never to be seen again.

(Not) in a vase on Monday!

The challenge this week, set by Cathy at  https://ramblinginthegarden.wordpress.com to celebrate five years of In a Vase on Monday, was to offer (Not) in a vase on Monday!  So here is my interpretation of that idea with one of my Plant Belles, which I tend to use for things I find and enjoy.  I weave bits and pieces through the metal ribs and keep them until they fall apart, or something even better turns up!  Lichen covered twigs, branches of larch with tiny cones, seed heads, twisted heather stems, anything and everything that has form and beauty.
