We've just got back from the Christmas Fair held in the heart of the village.
It was everything it should be - twinkling, red and green, Christmas carols sung by children, the sound of bagpipes, of course, the local fire engine for youngsters' delight,
yummy hot food being cooked on the spot - paella, hot sausages, and twizzels of candy floss
and the village square (more of a triangle) was mobbed with happy villagers with cold hands warming around cups of hot chocolate and mulled local cider.
As we walked away the high street was jumping to the strains of The New Avengers, a local band, performing Bill Haley & the Comets 'Rock around the clock'. It was great!
