Happy Christmas

Depending on where you are in the world, you may have already tucked into your Christmas dinner, or maybe it is still work in progress!  We always have ours on Christmas Eve, so all our washing up is done and Christmas Day is in the progress of being very relaxing and, now that some of the grandchildren have left the building, really quite peaceful!  
I hope that your Brussel sprouts and all the trimmings have been delicious, and that, wherever you are, and whichever time zone, you are enjoying a happy Christmas day.  With very best wishes from the running wave.

    We did your celebration dinner on Christmas Eve this year ... the big day was thus relaxing and sleepy!

There have been some cracking early morning skies this week.  The sunrise has generated a strong rose gold light which has been picked up not only in the clouds but also through the silver-white grasses around the edge of the golf course. (Not) in a vase on Monday!

The challenge this week, set by Cathy at  https://ramblinginthegarden.wordpress.com to celebrate five years of In a Vase on Monday, was to offer (Not) in a vase on Monday!  So here is my interpretation of that idea with one of my Plant Belles, which I tend to use for things I find and enjoy.  I weave bits and pieces through the metal ribs and keep them until they fall apart, or something even better turns up!  Lichen covered twigs, branches of larch with tiny cones, seed heads, twisted heather stems, anything and everything that has form and beauty.
