The flowers in my vase today, picked on a wet and windy morning, are for my youngest granddaughter, 5 months old, who has come through a life-threatening operation last Friday, and I am just so proud of her. So far, so good. She is a force of nature and a superstar! Hooray for little Miss E.
The deep dark rose in the photo below, Munstead Wood, is just hanging in there! It lost a few petals in the picking. There is one more bud on the bush and then I think that will be it for this year!
Sending Little Miss E best wishes for a speedy recovery and best thoughts to you and all the family x
ReplyDeleteThank you Antonia! Yes, our wee girlie is a force of nature! Smiling and gurgling on FaceTime this morning! Can't quite believe what her tiny body has been through and she is still sparkling! Amazing, and frankly she is a little miracle! Hope all is well with you and your family down there in Cornwall. A x
DeleteOh hurrah for Miss E and long may her reign as superstar continue! The colours in your vase look rich and sumptuous - MW is one of my favourite roses and I lije the attitude of the shaggy orange dahlia ps if you leave a link to this post in your comment on mine it is easier for others to find you and pps having been born in Edinburgh many of my childhood experiences were in your neck of the woods although sadly memories are few anf far between 😏
ReplyDeleteThank you for your message Cathy, and suggestion https://therunningwave.blogspot.com/2018/10/a-vase-on-monday-8-october-2018.html
DeleteHope I've done that right! Maybe trawling back through past posts of mine, and seeing future ones will jog a few happy memories for you! Hope so! A
