A harey start to the day

One of the bonuses of the clocks moving forward by an hour is that I can enjoy the rosy glow of early morning sunshine again, at the moment just before 7 am.  It's a fairly fleeting thing.  Within about fifteen minutes the light has changed, as the sun continues to rise and strengthen, but that brief period brings a beautiful glow to the woods and landscape.
The hares were out in force this morning.  You can just see three in the photo above. There were about eight in this field, jumping, chasing each other, boxing and tearing around in circles.  I just stood and watched them, enchanted, while a few lapwings swooped around overhead.
