The sweet peas are looking and smelling delicious, so with no further ado here they are, in two vases this week. In my third vase I have a couple of modest little beauties from my raised bed. There is the adorable field pansy, and if you have never looked closely at the flower of rocket, the salad leaf, I include it here because it is extraordinarily intricate and I think it is very beautiful.
Welcome to the running wave, which I set up as a vehicle for my photographs, with some observational chat and occasionally a little writing. I hope you enjoy the things I enjoy, sharing my walks with Tilly and Ted, and other excursions I have from time to time.
Oh wow my absolute favourite. So beautiful. I can just smell them from here. They are the cheeriest flowers ever!!

I felt I could almost smell them too, Amanda. I have taken out my 'winter flowering' sweet peas so am looking forward to crop of my later ones. It is lovely to see yours in the meantime - and it is worth having your rocket go to seed so you can have their little flowers to admire!
ReplyDeleteI love sweet peas and yours are gorgeous, while mine are long gone, being late winter/early spring flowers here. The rocket in the third vase is a nice touch.
ReplyDeleteGoodness!I love it, especially the Arugula. I grow it here in the winter (and Pansies as well) I will have some in February. I love the Sweet Peas and wish I could inhale their fragrance over the Internet. Sigh.
