I met some friends from the Leith School of Art for lunch last week. We walked from the school to a cafe to get a bite to eat. Lying in the rain, on the pavement, I found a single green and white parrot tulip. My love of flowers knows no bounds, and seeing her lying there was a bit like finding a wounded creature. So I picked her up, carried her around with me for the rest of the day, until I got home. I trimmed off her crushed stem, and added a little sugar to the water in the vase. She quickly recovered, and has since rewarded me like this!
Isn't she lovely!
